second airport not before 2026. That's 5 years away Melbourne also has a second airport ( Avalon ) but I don't know many who have used it or who want to use it. It's too far away, like Badgerys Creek is. Maybe for some freight services. But I can't see Sydney Airport losing it's prized status and can't see the vast majority of people flying into Sydney via Badgerys Creek which is 41km away from the city.
