They are not going to get to 50.1% unless Shandong or Nord sell to them.
Nord will probably still complain to the Takeovers Panel, who will decline to act.
Then Shandong will lob a $1.10 bid, and then it's over to Nord, for their $1.15 bid.
I'm wondering if either Shandong or Nord have a price which they will absolutely not go above, like about $1.40 or even $1.70, a price at which one or the other will have to throw in the towel.
This could go on for another 6 months now, in 5 cent increments.
Personally, I hope Shandong win, but the Ruskies seem determined, which means this thing could go all the way to $2 or more.
