This seems to have everything to do KBC and little to do with MEL. KBC seem to be having problems of their own. I have my doubts that they are actually good for the money.
Patton's position on the board became untenable due a conflict of interest given that he is also the chairman of the board at KBC. One less snout in the trough.
All IMO.
