Indeed recently China has been somewhat aggressive in several interactions choking projects. To be fair Canada and likely others have made several foreign investment regulatory changes that have forced China out of a number of investments in their country and places in the US are following suit.

Of course statistically buying individual stocks and not indexing or using ETF by some is considered little more than gambling and not something anyone should be touching with a ten foot pole.
