Honestly, mate I have no idea. I do remember an interview with Hunter saying that if it it’s not working out they won’t hesitate to stop the trial, but that might’ve been for adverse events and not efficacy. The fact there’s a statistician involved is an interesting point, but then it only states looking at AEs. So perhaps the statistician is just there to assess the significance of AEs? Given it’s a double blinded placebo trial, it will be unlikely that we should know the outcome. A few years ago I invested in a small biotech that failed it’s p2 trial due to placebo being as good as treatment and the stock in question dropped 90% in 1 day. Of course up until that day spirits were high but then the news broke and everyone was devastated. It’s really one of the worst feelings.
