In the 12.30 to 2pm period there are 34 entries with Mx Margeaux Hodgson-Garns featuring twice.
In 90 minutes that less than 3 minutes each - (if everyone speaks and time is allocated evenly) barely time to read much more than the abstracts, arguably.
In my opinion Mx Margeaux other abstract is also relevant to iPSC derived MSCs. Remember seeing a paper in which hanging drop MSCs had a different secretome to those from 2D plastic manufacture?
This should have been video'd and shared - there is potential for a somewhat false market here in that information is made available to some (obviously Mx Margeau hxxself - though that could be adequately protected with non disclosure agreements and similar protections and other protections against releasing information that could be traded upon) and not others (those actually at the poster presentations).
Some of the basic research being done - precisely because it is basic research - has the potential to discover problems with the assumptions behind CYPs value proposition thesis that its been talking up for years now as well as to "further support" it.
I'm for using universities and students to learn and keep costs down but I'm not for some having access to more market sensitive information than others - I don't think those attending poster presentations will be signing non disclosure agreements.
Any publicly discussed or revealed information should be recorded and shared via the CYP website. This announcement should have been made in time to give people the opportunity to decide to travel to attend.
