A dozen types of HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) can cause certain types of cancer—cervical, anal, oropharyngeal, penile, vulvar, and vaginal. HPV vaccine is used for the prevention of these cancers and cervical cancer in particular. So it is definitely appropriate for the Symposia on cancer vaccines in Vancouver .
