The U.S. Silver Market Experienced Two Significant Developments In August:U.S.
silver production in August is down a stunning 14% compared to the same month
last year and down 10% versus the previous month:

No wonder companies are shutting down silver mining. It already costs some
miners more to process silver than what they were receiving for it.
This latest downturn in the POS will no doubt cut some more production and
add even more upward pressure for silver prices for those left mining this most
versatile metal.

Talk about supply and demand. Its not like copper where a big percentage
gets recycled. The amount of silver recycled is very low as it mostly goes into
conductive or reflective uses and as such small and thin components.
Its very hard to recover and ends up at the rubbish tip.
My business is scrap metal and we recover the copper from solar panels and
fling the reflector sheet coated with silver cos its not worth recovering and needs
processing.
Silver has such a race to run IMHO.

Just waiting to pick the bottom......
