I live in the UK and hold SAS shares withing my SIPP (Self invested Personal Pension) which is government regulated. I have been trying to transfer my SAS holding from one broker account to another but have been told that Australian rules (ASX?) set a minimum value of A$ 500 for such transactions and my 357 shares are worth less than 5 dollars. Has anyone else faced a similar problem for an 'in specie' transfer of SAS shares? If I can't transfer them, i need to sell them. Are there any off-market scemes that allow one to do that? I need to get the shares out of my account asap!
Many thanks
