Hi Lastly. Fun but too early to knowingly speculate imo. We don't yet know if it's specific to SARSCov2 or a general antiviral ability. If the either sticks then the whole becomes greater than the sum of the parts, eg being non toxic to normal cells and antiviral is vastly superior to just being antiviral.
I could do a Trump and inject myself with disinfectant. The disinfectant will surely score highly in a TCID50 test as well - but unfortunately will kill me. Not our beloved monepantel. If Prof Pellegrini (MBBS A...z) was restricting himself to the experiment at hand, then the low conc/max kill rate was what he was labelling as remarkable.
