Let's be honest, there is no management "team", so it's not flying low, it's Turner flying the thing solo and building it as he goes, which plays into slow and sloppy updates. Still no excuse.
The announcement shows things are happening, but to that point there's also at least 2, possible 3 announcements they could squeeze out of this one: "oh yeah, I guess we better update the market we'll jam five things into an update". I wouldn't hold my breath expecting a change.
