Rio’s massive 9.9 billion AUD purchase of Arcadium sends a very strong signal of big money confidence in the near-term resurgence of lithium. EV sales are going strong, and BESS is exceeding all expectations by a country mile. Meanwhile, low-quality, high-production mines are going into care and maintenance, pushing supply toward a deficit faster than most analysts predicted. Things are looking promising, fundamentals are almost here, and PFE is in a prime position to benefit. Honestly, I still have no idea how they managed to stake such a large landholding in such a prime jurisdiction, which is shaping up to be the first commercial-scale supply district of DLE to the North American market.
