@stefoid and @GoldPirate, the 50-500kg samples aren't to establish a grade, they're to establish where the nuggets are.
They'll then do bigger samples on those parts to try and determine a grade.
Will that be representative enough to satisfy JORC? Probably not.
Will it give you a better idea of which bits of the rock you want to target when you go trial mining? Absolutely.
You don't just go trial mining and dig everything up, spend the money to process it and see if you made a profit. You get in and target the bits that are most prospective for gold so that you're not processing a bunch of waste rock for no reason.
Steel Well has 68m of conglomerates, and you want them just to dig that all up and process it?
Don't expect the results to feed into an updated JORC resource, but that doesn't mean the results are meaningless.
