Prospectors are limited by the depth they are allowed to dig as well as limited by the depth their detectors are able to receive a target.
ARV nuggets came from turning over 1.5m depth of ground or 5 feet.
So it is reasonable to say the prospectors took what they could from the surface and ARV turned up what was below.
Surface ? plus 41ounces below = a shoit load.
