I already held Deg before H.H. conglomerate theory. When i heard about massive precipitation i loaded up and continue to add cheap options. My portfolio is so overweight deg vxr.
The reason is im a creationist not evolutionist and theres only 1 recorded event in history that was significant enough to cause this. Massive flooding while the deeps of the earth opened up at the same time.

I think H.H is right just got the events that caused it wrong.

You do realize that Lake Taupo was the worlds largest eruption in the last 70,000 years with a Volcanic Explosivity Index of 8
Tephra from the eruption covered much of the central North Island with ignimbrite up to 200 metres deep.
Most of New Zealand was affected by ash fall with an 18 cm layer left on the Chatham Islands 1,000 kms away.
