Worley with its 8b marketcap and extensive experience with large projects as a leading global provider of professional services in the energy, chemicals and resources sectors should be easy for the lenders to tick off on in my opinion.
In terms of the Phase Two supplier(s) I think you can rule out of Phase One supplier given the issues encountered on Phase One and don't think they are at the scale acceptable to the DFC to tackle such a large project. So the short-list might be something like Linde, Air Products etc..
PS Don't be surprised if Linde given its US$143b marketcap per this Nasdaq article might be angling to takeover Renergen even more so if Renergen end up using Linde equipment for Phase 2. Even with such a massive US$143b marketcap the Nasdaq article is suggesting helium can be a driver for its shareprice.
Renergen is aiming to have about 50 liquid helium iso containers in operation to sell liquid helium directly to customers in the lucrative spot market plus Stef has mentioned a helium hub to potentially be located in Brownsville, Texas.
So as Phase 2 approaches in 2026/2027 Renergen could be seen as a real potential disruptor to the helium monopoly the big players like Linde and Air Products have been enjoying and they themselves better than most can see the demand for helium will only increase with huge forward demand forecast from the likes of the 1 trillion market capped Nvida with the expected surge in semiconductor chips needs for AI applications etc..
I wouldn't be surprised if Renergen hasn't already been approached to be brought out but that may only intensify towards 2026/2027. Time will tell if Renergen takes takes it all the way into Phase 2 and maybe Phase 3 and beyond with dividends or receives an offer too good to refuse at some point in time to be bought out.
