With respect to the BIDDERS STATEMENT, you have missed the point. A bidders statement is suppose to be exactly that, a statement from the bidder to the shareholders of the entity to which it is bidding for. There should be absolutely NO reference or commentary whatsoever on what the directors of P1's views/opinions are on the bid. Any views or opinions of P1 Directors should only be addressed in the TARGET STATEMENT (which is usually a response to the bidder statement) which P1 releases to their shareholders. It would have been different if the bidder statement and target statement were prepare together and released as one document, but this was not the case. A monumental error on CQA's part.

Thanks GolfR. You have filled in a missing piece in the jigsaw of my attempts to understand what has been going on. It is such a mess that I shall bow out of this particular topic!
