    Further to the Downer announcement of cost savings of US$3.30/mt on the 59.0/mt mined at Christmas Creek.

    This is even better news than I first thought, this saving is a direct cost saving applying to FMG's costs of production only.

    Had the cost reduction related to fuel, shipping and a decline in AUD.

    Then the cost saving would have also applied to BHP/RIO/Roy Hill, which means that the cost differential compared to FMG would not have changed.

    This cost saving narrows the cost of production significantly, the big boys would not be pleased.
