That's the objective of the process, although it is my view that the revised share price will not hold and will drop very quickly, so if you are thinking of selling just remember that you will still actually have the same dollar value invested in the revised number of shares. This process will NOT increase the value of your holding for one second but will inevitably (in my view) result in further dilution of your invested value.
This brings nothing for shareholders but further harm and serves only the management team. So much for the theory of shareholder primacy.
