    You're right. Voting for what each holder doesn't like will be useful and can send a message though in the end the big boys will outweigh. In reality short term holders will disregard the voting and the chair will vote in favour. Though having decent money in the company and being a long term holder it's in each and everyone's interest to have your voice heard. Either Rowley has been unable to attend for what ever reason or he might be on his way to retiring. I don't know. Could be just laziness. Worth asking why he doesn't turn up. I just don't like the "pay yourself first" mentality. Especially when it's a public company and the cash we give them(collectively more than the board) is trusted to be used wisely.

    The board need to think very hard about it and do what is right.

    Warren Buffet pays himself less than what they get.

    And when investors see this type of strict, more responsible salaries they will know tht the board is 100% committed to prosper.

    After all they earn our good money.
