e.g. shareprice will drop 30.5 cent to 30 cent down to 29.5 cent down to 29 cent

drops can get very violent is this bear market.

gold small caps will only move if there is a narrative to support. even money from funds. funds sell fin products i.e. their gold funds, inflows into their gold funds will transpire to the underlying stocks within their funds = inflows.

say in 2020, every generalist was convinced on the below

1. world order would change
2. permanent disruption to life was we know
3. global financial crisis & stock market collapse
4. deadly pandemic
5. inflation

after the initial selloff, the gold price & gold stocks started moving up, everyone was convinced & with high conviction that the gold price was moving up higher, the narrative was perfect. therefore = good sentiment for gold explorations = good pump. similarly Lithium & the EV narrative

now even with the higher gold prices, there just isn't a narrative, no one truely believes with the same conviction that gold prices will move explosively higher & therefore sentiment remains bad. it impacts funds because they can't sell their fin products as well. it's a much harder sell. impacts the flows into this space.

this is the worst time to be undertaking raises. the gamble now is the hope sentiment returns before the next cap raise. which means we're hoping for and expecting a blackswan type event so bagholders can break even.
