Yeah sure man just this year that I know of:
Check out recent ones this year WSI, ZLD, MOM, MDC, NUH, Ci1, DW8, WSI, ZLD, TPD all these consolidations lead to new all time lows. Really no reason for it, just takes up time and money in admin, gives the share price more room to fall, and also allows management to do a cap raises.
For management its great because they can just continue to pay themselves for longer, for shareholders it almost always works out worse, cant think of an example of it working out well, but plenty of recent examples of it working out bad. Anytime I hear about a company doing consolidation I sell out and have always been able to buy back in at a cheaper market cap.
