I'm not sure a comparison between multi-billion dollar blue chips and MWR's $50mil cap is entirely appropriate - they both have different objectives with their split. Considering MWR just brought on a handful of instos in the recent raise, I can't imagine why they'd now be scrambling to find ways to "make their lives easier" from insto pressure.
Think about it logically - at $7 we are roughly $100mil cap, $14 $200mil cap (assuming no dilution, and by no means are they price forecasts). That is a small market cap in the grand scheme of things yet our SP will be too high and will hamstring shareholder returns. This split will only attract mid tier instos, who'd normally need a fair bit of liquidity to take a position and accumulate.
One thing you can be reassured about with this management team, they're not looking for the easy way out. Any decisions made of this nature will be done so with shareholder's best interests in mind.
