Very first one I checked doesnt hold up:

Yeah had this argument for literally a decade plus over hotcopper, and havent come across one example of market cap not dipping post consolidation. Thats why I feel pretty safe saying it happens every time, im sure there are some exceptions, and my words ruffle some feathers like that of bedger who tries to find an example, im legitmately curious to see one, but yet to have one presented.
