If you would all just look at the jagged trading in this stock over the last few months you would see how necessary a consolidation is. It will add liquidity to the stock- allow it to trade higher or lower as the market desires. The last thing investors want is a dead untradeable stock which is what PAA has been mimicking the last couple of months.
Most funds will not invest in a stock that is trading below 20c so the consol gets us some way there.. This could be in preparation for any pending deals that might be in the works, but that is just speculation.
In hindsight CR was a master stroke into news and given the state of the world economy RA simply nailed it. He is a very smart player and will not trash his 100m plus holding by doing random consolidations.
If a major pharma sees the potential of ppl1 enhancing their suite of drugs they will likely free carry the development.. Exciting times indeed.
RA is not a spiv of who spins lines about commercialisation partnerships unless they are likely to happen.. Why would he trash his reputation spruiking one drug trial when failure could cost him his job at CYP, IMC, RGS etc..?? We are not dealing with some cowboy oiler here but as always DYOR.
This stock is too illiquid to day trade so anyone here without the patience to hold should recheck their investment thesis. Sell and wait until a meaningful trend establishes itself perhaps.
