This is the first consolidation I've gone through but I feel I've got my head around it sufficiently. With that said, I've been pondering why suddenly such a big gap between depth of buyers v. sellers? Pre-consolidation I recall the ledger was a lot more equal.
Is it reasonable to assume that human nature dictates people are happy to buy on market with a deferred settlement date of 13 Jan. (T + 2), but sellers have by and large dried up given that not many are prepared to wait for that long to receive their sale proceeds. With that in mind, is it possible (dependant on other variables such as POS, etc), this week may see a temporary/artificial spike in the SP until such time that trading resumes as normal on 11th Jan.?
