Brookfield and AusSuper go back long way and are at each other’s throats. ‘Truth in takeover’ rules apply to bidders but don’t know whether it goes far enough to ‘Interest’ holding parties. A lot of mums n dads howl protests on HC but vote not necessarily in line with those howls. Tomorrow will be telling. If nothing meaningfully changes then funds will vote ‘in absence of superior offer’. The likes of MUFS and First Sentiers who hold through JPM or MS and the like would have cast their preferences to JPM and MS by now.
