That's a pretty standard consulting rate. Actually cheap given his experience (I used to charge out at $250/hr in my twenties).
He's a consultant and he's on the BoD for Lycopodium.
This looks legit and a positive ANN to me. Assume that we need to engage someone to perform these services anyway, I'd say we're getting a very good deal.
