I don’t understand why the AACo board decided the only person with skills to lead an environmental project at AAC is one of their own. For a fee of $80,000, Jessica Rudd will put together a plan for an environmental project. The company has multiple, trained experts and there are many professionals serving the agricultural industry, but apparently the board feels Jessica Rudd’s ‘media experience’ plus what she has learned over a few years of AACo board meetings makes her the best person to pay to deliver the result the company presumably wants. Seems like more board nepotism and incompetence- why hire a real expert when you can pay board cronies to throw together a plan with no expertise in the field.
