Hey Gordon2, The ASX is not there to verify the validity of the study. That is not their role. They are there to maintain process and to ensure disclosure to the markets when required. I could go on about all the other governing principles and roles they perform but the validity of company announcements such as research is down to the company executive. Simple as that and that is what company execs are accountable for. And yes, many get away with so much false and misleading reporting as we’ve seen.
Nothing personal mate, I just want to be clear about how the ASX fits into this. I work in a similar governing/overseeing body in a different sector.
