What a copout throwing Paul Dalgleish under the bus!!!! I am not exonerating him, however I believe the board knew all was not well ages ago... They backed Paul to try to undo some of the problems but he didn't succeed, joint decision to try and find a way to mitigate the loss- I believe.
What I don't buy is that the Board knew nothing until now!!!!
The first people to go should be the Board of directors, you don't just lose $30-60M overnight, they must have known something wasn't right ages ago. And if it was a surprise to them, then serious questions need to be asked on the qualifications and ability of the board to read a financial report - remember they get more detailed numbers than the public.
If it really was a surprise, then the CFO should get the chop first!!! This is a copout and blame game...
