I see that so far there have been acceptances of 17%, with presumably directors holdings in this count. So the majority are still sitting and waiting which is fair enough as there is still time. What I don't like about these situations is there have been two similar offers from other miners who naturally see value at this price (for them!).

I am sure in the past "independent expert" reports have been provided to assist shareholders in deciding on which way to go. The reasons currently provided by the board are pretty stock standard (premium to current price, synergies etc) and may have some merit but doesn't fundamentally address what they and/or an independent expert (so called) would value the company at.

The "premium to current price" seems to be seen as a powerful persuasor, but MGV has traded in a broad range in the last 2-3 years, so for me a measure against a point in time share price has less significance for me (in the absence of at least some sort of valuation comparison).

Anyhow, time will tell, with the up take dragging perhaps there will be a little sweetener to entice the masses.
