Overwhelmed hospitals are drafting plans and checklists to ration healthcare, especially the Emergency Departments. Part of the plan is to Triage patients based on severity of the cases and that would need critical care. Unfortunately these kind of plans would involve discretionary outcomes- who gets care first? a patient with Pneumonia or Asthma attacks ( tough choice isn’t it?) Prioritization criteria is a tough call.

This is where ResApp use-case is so so strong! Triage patients according to severity.

Many states in America is said to have been using a system called Sequential Organ Failure Assessment (SOFA) to allocate resources. You have different metrics for different hospitals for triage.

My point here is all these scoring systems are based only after patients reach the hospitals, which, in my opinion is still clogging the hospitals. This is where for Respiratory ailments can be triaged whilst the patient is at home and decide he/she needs to be transported to the hospital. Scenario would be to have ambulance services to have ResApp built into the call systems.

Today most of the headlines reads how overwhelmed the hospital systems are. ResApp should be a goto Saas right now!
