Can't answer that question but the market doesn't instantly react because of the timing of one investor. So whilst some may have had to sit for months or weeks, others may just time it perfectly.
A good example for me was a stock i had recently OAR. I bought back in early April for .2c MC was 2M.
The company had been berated daily on twitter and mangement flagged as absolutely useless. Though i saw a good risk verse reward. They had very good projects, and yes if management done nothing perhaps nothing would happen but even on the projects it did have i felt it was undervalued despite the negative smear campaign that had swallowed it for 6-12 months prior.
Now i sat on almost no profit for close to 6 months. The stock then went from .2c to around 3c and i made 1500% in the space of a couple weeks to a month. So whilst it would have been easy to post frequently about wth isn't this stock moving, i realised that just because i thought it was undervalued didn't mean the rest of the market was awake or thought the same. These are the type of stocks i target. As i don't trade and so i don't front run the most discussed stocks or ones on runs. I look for ones under the radar or labelled as dogs. reason being is stocks that seem great are usually over hyped and therefore overvalued to fair price, same is true on the opposite side IMO.
So if i could impart any wisdom, if you are a trader then i'd recommend looking at stocks with higher volume and flagging on the most discussed leaderboard. Then you can get the sugar hit and flip.
Regarding this being you worst performing stock the rest you must have been in must be pretty good. Because i entered a month or so ago at 15c and i'm sitting on 40% profit which is excellent in my books and i'm not a trader.
Timing in the market is more important that time in the market, especially when trading.

Also, if you've not been able to make money trading MTC then maybe trading isn't your thing as this stock is a traders wet dream.
Check out the MACD green runs, buy on green sell on red. Like shooting fish in a barrel type stuff.
Easy to look at other stocks that are tripling but if you didn't invest there then it's baby out with the bath water. I'd recommend reviewing the charts, and asking why you opted not to invest then and learn from your mistakes.
I hope that explanation has helped, i'm not a trader per se but have a reasonable understanding of technical trading and i actually do use it to time my long entries and also when to decrease exposure and take profits.
T/A advice is if it break 23c and holds it should be poised for a leg up, stochastics look like they want to cross. The last 2 days of movement would suggest it's going to re-test 20c as support probably coinciding with a support of the lower channel shown in green. IMO it will land there in there in the next 3-4days.
If i'm a trader looking for low % gains i'm buying at 20c selling at 23c, rebuying if it breaks 23c on volume.
If i'm a long investor (which i am) i'm averaging up between 15-20c and i personally will free-carry when it doubles.
I see this as a 100-150m stock even in its current state, but at the very least that value in 12months. how long it takes the market to think the same is anyones guess. My last 7 picks have all returned 150-1500% so my judgement hasn't been too bad of late, time will tell if i go 8/8.
