I'd vote for the technicians on holidays option. My screenshot above was from an email from the lab I got that weekend after asking what their Xmas opening hour were by the way. Thought I'd ask given there wasn't anything on the website except for Australia. They also said the company had already been given the au results, but that all other analysis was being done at a different European lab. I didn't ask anything further after that.
Last time they released all the info together. If it was a leak of bad au results it would thus imho likely have caused impact earlier so I don't think it's a leak.
Might be a bit of nerves though.
