You can follow trades of course. You can see open bids and offers. If all at once there was a 'market' offer made resulting in a number of buyers being met- how could you tell the difference between 17 trades involving 17 buyers and 1 seller or the same number of trades but 17 buyers and 1 seller? And then put into the mix a bot front running to get its cut of the transactions- as I believe they do.
From your experience- could you tell the difference?
I may be over thinking this. Not that much would hang on it.
