A lot of companies will attribute commissions paid to agents/distributors as marketing costs.
Some will account for it separately.
I don't know how Vault are doing it, but it looks like it has been as part of marketing.
If marketing costs are rising, and it is a result of commissions, it means its sales are rising. A good thing as it is always calculated as a percentage of the sale.
If marketing costs are first class airfares to Europe, I start to worry.
It would be an interesting question.
