There are many ways of exiting these contracts and selling or writing off equipment is one. Management i am sure will make the correct decisions here. What i dont understand is the labour situation. If needed at other sites then i cannot see MLD letting these people stay and paying redundancy?? If contractors thats different and trf contracts to new party would suit all i assume.

as mentioned in this thread it could be a good outcome to increase margins by getting rid of old high cost equipment. In times of change always heaps of opportunities. Mld need to explain what these opps are when they get on top of the contract change over conditions
