The truth is, there is a lot of competition now coming out of the wood work. CDC, Digital Realty, Equinix, Airtrunk, MAQ, just to name a few, all have major plans for >100MW.
NextDC is in a completely different market position to just 4-5 years ago when it was looking like being in a dominant position with Equinix.
Data Centre's are in a position to get a much better ROIC once completely utilised. But they take longer to get to full utilisation, compared to say someone leasing apartments or industrial units.
NextDC got the thematic right, but I don't think their execution has been very good.
