Try over 1Billion for Rail. Still quite a lot less than for 500km in The Pilbara. The Pilbara would be more like over $2.5Billion for 500km. Cost per kilometre is suppose to be around $3 to $3.5 million in Cameroon with the Chinese building it with help from Cameroon labourers.
Lolabe Port will be a completely new project, not an upgrade. Will include stock pile site for the iron ore and conveyor belt to the ships. Pellet plant has been said to also be built at a later stage when Itabirite iron ore is mined to convert to Pellet Feed and Concentrate at 66%Fe to 68%Fe. Just prior to Don Lewis dying in the plane crash, he told me it would cost around $200 million for the Pellet Feed plant near the Port.
