I see this convertible note as a clue to what they think they may have recently found...
Smells like an "inclusion" play to me...a kind of created position to allow TNG to share in the rewards, which will be good for both companies in the longer term.
Early days, but the strike price was fair given the rate and size of the recent rise, suggesting they all feel there is much more to come.
