TXN at these prices is a fantastic buy. I too did scale back largely in the mid 60's, but at this market cap I beleive it's a great buy. I think the EFS 3/4 results will put TXN back on a roller-coaster in the upwards direction (pending global markets of course).
Hotfire if you believe that based on current production, fair value is around 38 cents, then after EFS 3 and 4 (company production will more than double initially), by your standards is TXN valued at 80 cents+?
That is more me questioning your valuation method, as opposed to actually asking the question. You are right though, TXN at it's peak was getting far ahead of itself.
TXN's production varies greatly through-out the year due to the almost fully-owned working interests in wells, that some kind of valuation smoothing is required.
Massive over-reaction today (including the ASX's drop) imo.
