Let's be clear. While there are potential synergies, it's not across the road. It's across the Isaac River. There's quite a haul involved and IMHO the bridge that's been built by Pembroke doesn't look like it was built for haul trucks. The raw coal from Winchester South would first need to be crushed and then transported via road train some tens of kilometres or an overland/river conveyor needs to be built. This is going to involve considerable capital investment into sealed roads. It'd also likely involve a deal with Pembroke for their bridge access... unless WHC wants to drop $100m on a new bridge or $xxx on a conveyor. The Caval Ridge Southern Circuit cost $300m and I don't think that crossed a river.
