Take the 'rock in a bucket of water' analogy;
A bucket full of water with a rock in the bottom of the bucket sits next to a pile of rocks. The water tap is 20 yards away. What happened first? Was the bucket filled with water at the tap, then carried 20 yards to be placed next to the pile of rocks? Along came an event that results in the rock being placed in the bucket of water.
Or was the rock already in the bucket and a hose filled the bucket with water? an event followed that resulted in the hose being wound up and put in the shed.
With a hidden hose; logic may dictate the bucket of water was sitting primary to any rock emplacement.
However dating this occurrence may indicate the rock was already present in the bucket before being filled with water (copper blow).

Copper blow is the bucket with a rock; then filled with water. The magnetic anomaly represents the rocks sitting next to the bucket. Anomaly A and B possibly represent irrigation from the same tap that irrigated the bucket.
