There used to be a commercial geochem lab in Cobar but shut down due (largely) to the inept lab supervisor they had there; bs'd people for such a long time when he was found out everyone ended up taking their work to ALS at Orange and it shut down.
Anyone who could run a competent lab would make a truckload of cash if they wanted to startup the lab there again. HLX, PEX, AMI, MKR...tonnes of prospects out there to take work from!
