Not a tax consultant either but pretty sure it is hold the share for more than 12 months, sell and declare 50%CGT less than 12 mths declare 100% CGT on the day the order is completed but then off market at the price of the day ... I could be wrong ... ? The 50% CGT gets added as income earned for the FY but you can carry over losses too from a previous FY...
Off market transfers to my kids has helped minimise my CGT this FY.... everyone’s benefits
