It's interesting that they released this only days before the next quarterly is due.
I think it demonstrates the company's willingness to keep shareholders engaged, they probably noted frustration being vented on Hotcopper and thought they would put out this update.

I think you've summed things up perfectly amok, but i would add one thing...

you need to go back to December 2011 to understand why things are about to get alot more exciting here. That was when the company acquired Washihi/Al Ajal/Mullaq.

It sounds from this announcement like they will fast track Daris next, which is logical, as it is high grade and more easy money for the company. But the fact that they specifically mention Mullaq makes me think that is our next exploration target. The 2011 announcement on the acquisition notes significant mineralization and historical grades ranging from 1.4% to 16.06% at this prospect.
