Regarding the risk of working with China. In my opinion, that is negated since it's CATL's name on paper. China has changed a lot over the past 10/20 years. They have moved from being a manufacturing nation to running and owning brand names.

Having a respected brand, which CATL is key to the strategy. They will still play hardball but gone are the days of completely screwing companies. They are in with too many companies, and if they were to screw the DRC who still own part of Manono, it would significantly damage their brand. They really have realised to operate on a global scale; you need to operate OLI and LLL frameworks.

I'm delighted it's CATL; they are at the forefront of battery tech and are in bed with all the large car manufacturers worldwide. They were and are my preferred partner.
