Maybe sounds kind of neat. As an alternative theory (albeit a less sexy one) I would think if you're paying $240m for something you'd ask for some sort of due diligence details, it might even be they got the draft report, but that as they wanted more tonnage there actually wasn't any point in pursuing the 4.5Mt scenario anymore? Could it be that simple?
