A very good announcement all things considered.

It's probably worth people considering that all the aforementioned calcs above are essentially ascertaining the project value based on the transaction. which is good first principles.

But the company/s that just invested 240M USD and further financing down the road haven't done so to yield no return on their investment. even though this is what the transactional project value shows.

With a large portion of the finance secured it's highly highly likely this moves into production as prescribed.

To work out the forward looking value one should probably reviews the project EBITDA and discounted free cash flow model and attribute 51% to the NPV.

or

work out the EPS for a 51% stake in it.

for context; if you look at lithium companies in production their valuation on an EPS is quite high.

you could probably support a 1bn aud mc if avz was only getting 50m aud profit p/a and therefore the project make 100m aud p/a. Look at the recent figures earnings and consider the increase at 10mtpa the earnings are significantly higher than aforementioned.

It's a multi billion asset in production based on profit it can produce. the hurdle was/is getting it to production.

That hurdle just became significantly smaller.
